1. Structural differences
 
The spray head is composed of the main body, nozzle, nozzle core, filter and other parts. After the water with certain pressure enters the nozzle through the nozzle filter, the pressure water is sprayed from the nozzle hole at high speed to achieve the fire extinguishing effect.
 
For the impact spray head, the water spray consists of a splash tray, a diversion cone and a frame body. The pressure water flow is dispersed in the set area in the form of uniform conical spray by impacting the external water splash dish.
 
2. The diameter of fog is different
 
Fog diameter: the volume% characteristic diameter of spray head is DV0.90, less than 1mm. That is to say, in the total volume of spray liquid, the proportion of fog below this diameter in the volume is more than 90%.
 
Diameter of fog: the diameter of fog formed on the plane is Dv0.50 less than 200m, and Dv0.99 less than 400m. That is to say, on this plane, 99% of the fog's diameter is less than 400m, and 50% of the fog's diameter is less than 200m.
 
The diameter of the fog sprayed by the high-pressure spray head is smaller than that of the water spray, so it is more suitable for places with higher requirements for immersion than the water spray extinguishing system, such as libraries and archives.
 
3. Basic principles
 
The influence of design spray intensity, protection area, spray head characteristics and other factors shall be comprehensively considered.
 
Spray water mist directly to completely cover the protected object.
 
The effective distance between the spray head and the protected object should not be greater than the effective range of the spray head.
